Equity Derivatives

Derivative is a contract between two parties which derives its value from an underlying asset like stocks, bonds, commodities, currencies, interest rates and market indices.

Derivatives are used for two purposes namely Speculation and Hedging.

In Equity Derivatives, underlying asset is Equity shares or stocks. The value of Equity derivatives is based on the price movements of the underlying stock of a particular company.
